COSIT 2022

The 15th International Conference on Spatial Information Theory
Kobe, Japan, September 5–9, 2022

Update on 10 June 2022

Dear COSITers:
The Japanese borders reopen on 10 June 2022 under conditions that COSIT 2022 can meet. So, we can finally say with confidence that COSIT 2022 meets our requirements to take place in Kobe in September, and we—the Organizers—would like to invite you all to come along!
According to the current travel conditions, all COSIT participants need to obtain a short-term visa to enter Japan. The Traveling to Kobe page shows a pdf file that explains the process (which goes through the COSIT hosts in the first step). Early-bird registrations are available until 15 July, but in light of the lead time needed to get this visa, we strongly recommend you register sooner. Accompanying persons traveling with you to Japan will also need to register, and we are setting up a special registration for them.
We are glad to be able to provide planning confidence with this process, while it is possible that even these travel restrictions may be lifted shortly.
Thank you very much for your continued interest, support, and patience, and we very much look forward to having a wonderful conference in Kobe in September.

• Early-bird registration ends 15 July 2022 (update 15 July):

As has been announced, on or after 16 July 2022, standard rates will apply. Please be aware that your visa application takes time.

• Up-to-date information in Slack (update 9 July):

Thanks for your registration. Registered participants are now invited to our cosit2022 Slack workspace. You can access the latest information and chat with each other there.

• Conference program ver. 1.3 available (update 9 July):

We are pleased to share with you the first version of the program. Please see the Program page.

Looking forward to meeting you in Kobe!
