COSIT 2022::
UPDATE on 10 June 2022:

Dear COSITers:
The Japanese border reopens on 10 June 2022 under conditions that COSIT 2022 can meet. So, we can finally say with confidence that COSIT 2022 meets our requirements to take place in Kobe in September, and we—the Organizers—would like to invite you all to come along!
According to the current travel conditions, all COSIT participants need to obtain a short-term visa to enter Japan. The Traveling to Kobe page shows a pdf file that explains the process (which goes through the COSIT hosts in the first step). Early-bird registrations are available until 15 July, but in light of the lead time needed to get this visa, we strongly recommend you register sooner. Accompanying persons traveling with you to Japan will also need to register, and we are setting up a special registration for them.
We are glad to be able to provide planning confidence with this process, while it is possible that even these travel restrictions may be lifted shortly.
Thank you very much for your continued interest, support, and patience, and we very much look forward to having a wonderful conference in Kobe in September.
